How to Report Illegal Sexual Content Online in India?

If you encounter suspected illegal sexual content online, especially child sexual abuse material or non-consensual intimate content, report it promptly and avoid redistributing the material.

Step 1: Preserve identifying information

Record the URL, username, account identifier and date/time. Take screenshots only where appropriate and safe. Do not create additional copies of prohibited material unnecessarily.

Step 2: Use the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal

The Government’s National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal provides reporting routes for women/children-related cybercrime and other cybercrime. Its FAQ states that the portal caters to online Child Sexual Exploitative and Abuse Material and sexually explicit content such as specified rape/gang-rape content. citeturn0search0
